Certifications & Credentials

Certifications in the restoration industry make the difference between hiring someone who's watched a few videos and one who's been trained according to industry standards. SDB Water Mitigation and Recovery LLC holds some of the most esteemed credentials in its field - because your property deserves nothing less!

At SDB Water Mitigation and Recovery LLC, we understand the significance of credentials when selecting a restoration company to enter your home or business during one of the most stressful moments in their lives. That is why we maintain all necessary certifications related to water damage restoration -- as part of our dedication and passion for what we do.

IICRC Certifications

WRT - Water Damage Restoration Technician

A WRT serves as the cornerstone certification in water damage response. WRT-trained technicians possess an in-depth knowledge of water intrusion, evaporation and humidity regulation as well as strategies for mitigating loss in both residential and commercial structures.

ASD - Applied Structural Drying

ASD technicians trained in ASD know how to dry wall assemblies, subfloor systems, and other structural components using psychrometric principles and commercial drying equipment - this makes the difference between surface level work and true dry-outs.

AMRT - Applied Microbial Remediation Technician

Microbial and mold growth can result from uncontrolled moisture, and AMRT-certified technicians have the training necessary to identify, contain, and eliminate this threat according to EPA and IICRC standards.

CCT - Carpet Cleaning Technician

When water penetrates carpeting, swift action may mean the difference between restoration and replacement. CCT certification covers proper procedures for extracting, cleaning, drying and assessing carpet and upholstery affected by flooding.

FSRT - Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician

Water damage is a constant byproduct of fire damage; suppression efforts saturate structures. Our certified Fire & Smoke Restoration Technicians (FSRT) have the skills and training needed to handle soot, smoke residue, odor control issues, and water damage related issues following any event resulting in fire damage.

EPA Certifications

EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm

Homes and commercial buildings constructed before 1978 may contain lead-based paint, so SDB adheres to federally required safety procedures when working in such structures - protecting you, tenants and crew alike.

EPA RRP - Renovation, Repair & Painting

Under the Environmental Protection Agency's Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (EPA RRP), certified contractors must follow specific lead-safe work practices during renovation projects in pre-1978 housing or child-occupied facilities that have predated 1978. SDB is certified and compliant.
